AWESOME!!! I cannot believe that we are actually on Yamaha's website! WOW! This is truly incredible, thank you Uncle Dave for telling me and the SynthZone members about the published article!

I read the article and was simply amazed at how well Yamaha presented the story! It said everything about us and it told everything about what Yamaha and the SynthZone did for us on Saturday, March 16th! I am just amazed that they actually published it on the OFFICIAL Yamaha website, that is so cool! And I really appreciate how Yamaha featured the SynthZone in the article. This place is not just a place where regular, everyday discussions go on, but here, miracles really do happen and dreams are made into realities!!!

My Mom, twin brother, and my older brother Ricky were just shocked when they saw our pictures on Yamaha's website! We were all amazed, but then we saw the caption under the picture...Remember, me and Robby are twins, right? And twins always get confused in pictures right? I'm not sure if you know what I'm driving at, but guess what? Robby and I are actually confused in the picture and it says in the caption that "Ryan" is in the center of the photo, when it is truly "Robby" who is in the center of the picture! Truly, I am on the left outside of the picture in the red shirt - I'm not in the middle of the picture - Robby is the one who is in the middle! When we saw that the caption had our names switched we immediately started laughing!!! Remember, I am the one in the RED shirt who is standing on the outside of the picture to the left, while Robby is the one in the GREEN shirt standing in the center! I know that I should have stood in the center, but I never even thought that they would have gotten our faces confused! After all, the keyboard was not only for me, but my whole family - so, I really wanted my twin in the picture too, but I didn't know that they would get our names confused! But seriously, it is no big deal that my brother is depicted as me. But, can Yamaha somehow fix the picture so that the caption reads that I am the one standing to the left (in the red shirt) and Robby is in the center (in the green shirt)? Is that ok if I ask for that favor? Also, the front news page has the wrong picture too - it has Robby as me! So, the front news page probably needs to be fixed as well! Sorry about that... Anyway, it is so hilarious that Yamaha got us confused! LOL!!!

Plus, my Mom was the one who took the picture, she is a good photographer, isn't she? Not only is she a good photographer, but she is the best Mom in the entire world!!! I love my family, they are so wonderful!

Still, I am shocked that Yamaha published our story...hopefully they can get the confusion fixed with Robby and I. People have always gotten our names confused, including Yamaha!!! LOL!!! The story was written very well and, like someone said, it recapped our story perfectly! And, Uncle Dave, Mark Anderson, James Hatcher, and George Kaye are all mentioned in the article and of course, the SynthZone is mentioned in the article too!!! Yamaha is truly amazing and I thank them so much for what they have done for my family and me! Like I said in the article, "Yamaha is a corporation with a big heart!" I am also VERY, VERY thankful for what all of you have done for me out here on the forum! You have given me so much wisdom and I value your advice! Thank you so much for your wisdom, encouragement, and for everything else you have done for me!

Well, thank you again Uncle Dave for telling me about this and thank you everyone for the encouragement! And, don't worry, VERY soon you will be able to hear my music along with my twin brother's music too!!!

See you all around and thank you for everything!
Ryan

Ryan,

What a humorous ending to a touching story. I saw the pic of you and Robby and asssumed that Robby may have been the older of you two, cause the guy in the red sweater looked a little bit taller. Now that it's obvious that it's YOU in the red sweater, are you possibly the OLDER twin (by a few minutes)?

It must be real special to be a twin. I've always had a secret fantasy of having a twin too, because I grew up more or less as an only child, as my older sister is quite a few years older than me. I've heard that twins are usually inseparable for life. Being twins gives you the opportunity to explore unique musical performance possibilities: duo act, etc. Your family sounds extra special and I wish the BEST to you all. - Scott

Hi,

I've read the article on Yamaha and it was wonderful to read this nice summary. To be honest, I never expected this from a huge company like Yamaha, I think Ryan must have his own team there by now Also Uncle Dave and George Kaye (who also has his shop mentioned now on the official Yamaha site!) and a lot of other members did a great contribution to this. Again, this is just truly amazing in what some call 'bitter times'.

All the best,
Sander

I never got the beginning of the story until I read this summary linked above.

Truely a touching story, it gave me goose bumps (sp?).

I am sure Ryan will make the best of it and this truely shows what a great family we have here. To have this zone bring in a large coorperation like Yamaha into a story must really mean something to all of us and anyone who hears about it.

Words are simply not enough...but everyone here is a great person.

Hey again everybody! Thanks again for the comments!

I just recently visited Yamaha's website again and saw that they had fixed the confusion with Robby and me! Thank you Uncle Dave for contacting Yamaha about that mistake and thank you Yamaha for fixing it so quickly!!! Yamaha is the BEST! I cannot believe that they fixed the page so quickly. Even though it is not displayed on the frontpage anymore, you can still visit the article again if you want to at: http://www.giles.com/yamaha1/pr/mus/clavpkb/ryans_hope_0402.html It is so cooooooool to be on Yamaha's website! Thanks Yamaha for featuring the article on your website!

Scott, that's funny that you think that I am the older one!!! Well, actually Robby is the older one by about 5 minutes! He always gets to open up Birthday presents five minutes before me! Just kidding! LOL! But, I understand how you would love to be a twin. I realize how fortunate I am to be a twin and I cherish that gift! Robby is the BEST twin in the entire world! And I have the best family in the entire world! Even though Robby and I are twins, it does not separate us from our older brother Ricky who is 19 years old. (Even though, like our Mom says, we are sometimes in our own little world! LOL!) Actually, many think that we are triplets sometimes because we all look alike! So, we three brothers are VERY close and thank you for saying that we are a special family! So, Ricky and Robby are the BEST brothers in the entire world!!! My Mom is the one who raised us and gave us such a wonderful family, so she deserves ALL of the credit! We do have the BEST family in the world...and it is all because of a wonderful Mom named Shawn!

Uncle Dave...you are such a comedian! Now, that I think about it, you kind of do look like Sean Connery! LOL! But seriously, I don't think that Sean Connery can sing as good as you do, Uncle Dave!

Again, thanks everyone for the wonderful comments and encouragement! I still cannot believe that we ended up on Yamaha's website, it is so cooooooool! Well, see you all around and enjoy your day!
Ryan
